Shortly after sirens sounded in Israel's North on Saturday afternoon, a correspondent for the Hezbollah-affiliated news agency Al-Mayadeen claimed that the group fired over 40 rockets in two successive salvos toward the Galilee. 

Media platform X said on Saturday it would close its operations in Brazil "effective immediately" due to what it called "censorship orders" from Brazilian judge Alexandre de Moraes.X claims Moraes secretly threatened one of its legal representatives in Brazil with arrest if it did not comply with legal orders to take down some content from its platform. Brazil's Supreme Court, where Moraes has a seat, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.The X service remains available to the people of Brazil, billionaire Elon Musk's platform said on Saturday.

US President Joe Biden said on Friday that no party in the Middle East should undermine efforts to reach a Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal that he claimed was now in sight.

A senior US official told the Wall Street Journal on Saturday that it is possible Iran may delay an attack on Israel at the behest of warnings by international parties that it could damage Gaza ceasefire talks.While Tehran may have been talked down from an attack, the official said the US and its allies were prepared for all contingencies and issued a message to Iran - warning it would face “cataclysmic” consequences should it attack Israel.
