Russia's land forces are bigger now than at the time of Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, but their quality has decreased since a NATO top military official said on Monday."The quality of those forces has gone down," the Chair of NATO's Military Committee, Dutchman Admiral Rob Bauer, said, pointing to the state of the force's equipment and the level of training of its soldiers."At the moment, the Russians are not the same threat as in February 2022, so we have a bit of time to prepare ourselves," he said, adding that this meant ramping up investments into the defense industry.

The White House condemned on Sunday the murder of Chabad emissary to the United Arab Emirates Rabbi Zvi Kogan. "We condemn in the strongest terms the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan in the UAE and our prayers are with his family, the Chabad-Lubavitch community, the broader Jewish community, and all who are mourning his loss," the statement read. "This was a horrific crime against all those who stand for peace, tolerance, and coexistence," the White House added, noting it was working in coordination with Israeli authorities as well as those in the UAE.

An Israeli foreign ministry official told Reuters on Sunday that the body of an Israeli citizen murdered in the United Arab Emirates would hopefully be repatriated to Israel on Monday.The body of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, 28, was found on Sunday after he was reported missing on Thursday.Asked when the body would be repatriated to Israel, the official said "hopefully tomorrow but it is not confirmed."The UAE said it had arrested three suspects in connection with the killing.

A fire broke out at an industrial facility in Russia's Kaluga due to falling debris from destroyed Ukrainian drones, the regional governor said Monday overnight.Vladislav Shapsha, the governor, said that there were no injuries and that three drones were destroyed. He did not say what facility was on fire.
