We would like to clarify again: there have been no deaths at any of the organization's locations. So far, two Gaza residents have required medical treatment at the scene - one due to dehydration and the other who was injured by other people seeking assistance. The conflicting reports originate from Hamas and are untrue," GHF said.

US immigration authorities arrested a Mexican immigrant who allegedly threatened to shoot President Donald Trump, the US Department of Homeland Security said on Wednesday.The man, Ramon Morales Reyes, 54, allegedly sent a letter to a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer stating that he would "shoot your precious president in [his] head" at one of his rallies, according to DHS, which published an image of the letter.Morales said in the letter that ICE had been deporting his family members although he did not mention anyone specifically."We are tired of this president messing with us Mexicans - we have done more for this country than you white people," the letter reads.Trump was targeted in two assassination attempts during his 2024 presidential campaign, including a shooting a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The suspects in both of those attempts were US citizens.

A US judge said on Wednesday that the Trump administration's bid to deport Columbia University student and pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil is likely unconstitutional.US District Judge Michael Farbiarz in Newark, New Jersey said he will issue a further order with next steps later on Wednesday. US President Donald Trump signed a full pardon for former U.S. Representative Michael Grimm of New York, who had pleaded guilty to a felony tax evasion charge in 2014, a White House official said on Wednesday.A Republican like Trump, Grimm represented districts that included Staten Island and a small portion of southern Brooklyn. He was sentenced to eight months in prison and served seven months in 2015 and 2016.The former congressman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Grimm admitted to under-reporting employee wages at Healthalicious, a restaurant he co-owned before starting his political career.The former Marine and FBI agent was first elected in 2010. He was reelected in 2012 and again in 2014 despite facing federal indictment on tax evasion. He pleaded guilty and stepped down in January 2015 before completing a third term.

A US trade court on Wednesday blocked President Donald Trump's "Liberation Day" tariffs from going into effect, ruling that the president overstepped his authority by imposing across-the-board duties on imports from nations that sell more to the United States than they buy.The Manhattan-based Court of International Trade said the US Constitution gives Congress exclusive authority to regulate commerce with other countries that is not overridden by the president's emergency powers to safeguard the US economy."The court does not pass upon the wisdom or likely effectiveness of the President’s use of tariffs as leverage. That use is impermissible not because it is unwise or ineffective, but because [federal law] does not allow it," a three-judge panel said in the decision.The ruling came in a pair of lawsuits, one filed by the nonpartisan Liberty Justice Center on behalf of five small US businesses that import goods from countries targeted by the duties and the other by 13 US states.The companies, which range from a New York wine and spirits importer to a Virginia-based maker of educational kits and musical instruments, have said the tariffs will hurt their ability to do business.
